Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Water Construction Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in water infrastructure projects, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of water distribution systems, pipelines, and related facilities. However, lack of experience will not disqualify a candidate; we value a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and maintain water distribution systems, including pipelines, valves, meters, and hydrants.
• Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling for water line installations and repairs.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of water systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Document work performed, including detailed reports on project progress and any issues encountered.
• Respond to emergency calls for water system repairs and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in water systems or construction is a plus.
• Distribution License preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of water distribution systems, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in operating construction equipment and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, CDL preferred.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
