Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wastewater Construction Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of wastewater collection systems, pipelines, and related facilities. However, lack of experience will not disqualify a candidate; we value a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain wastewater systems, including pipelines, valves, pumps, and other facilities.
- Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling for wastewater line installations and repairs.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of wastewater systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Document work performed, including detailed reports on project progress and any issues encountered.
- Respond to emergency calls for wastewater system repairs and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in water/wastewater systems or construction is a plus.
- Collection License preferred, not required.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater distribution systems, construction methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in operating construction equipment and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, CDL preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
